Anonymous asked: About your smoking thing, why should we stop smoking because other people don't partake in it? They can stay away from me if they don't like it, I was at a fireworks show and I light a cigarette take a drag and walk past this family with kids, the Mom asks me to put it out, she's at a social gathering where SHE knows smokers will be yet she brings her kids along and asks other's to be considerate because she wouldn't move her fat ass. Why should I have put it out?

I’m not saying that you need to stop at all; it’s your prerogative to what you place in your body, but I think if you know what you’re placing in your body is harmful to you and those around you, you need to be considerate of that. Now to your situation with the mom, although I think she does have a point (toxins in childhood development can cause some serious issues), I agree with you that she was out of line; we have no right to tell other people what to do on an individual level.  If you have a suggestion of how I can avoid inhaling someone else’s smoke when walking to my destination is my only way of transportation please let me know; I’m tired of walking down the street and feeling like I can’t breath because every half a block I walk I’m inhaling stupid amounts of cigarette smoke. If there was a way to avoid this, I most certainly would.
